SECTION 1 – Eating Hacks (1–9)

(Make fat-loss easier without you feeling like you’re “dieting”)

1. High-Protein Breakfast

Protein keeps cravings down all day.
For example: When I swapped my morning bagel for eggs + Greek yogurt, my 3PM snack attacks literally went away.

High-protein breakfast for fat loss

If you want something quick in the morning, I like rotating between Oats Overnight’s variety pack and Naked Oats Overnight Oats. Oats Overnight tastes better and has fun flavors, but Naked Oats is cleaner with fewer ingredients. Both are high-protein and perfect for grab-and-go mornings

2. Drink 12–16 oz Water Before Meals

It naturally reduces calories eaten without trying.

3. Slow Eating Rule (12–15 Minutes)

If you eat on autopilot, you overeat.
Real example: Eating without your phone can cut your meal in half I tested it 10+ times.

4. The 50/50 Plate Strategy

Half protein, half fruits/veggies. You stay full without heavy calories.

5. High-Volume Foods (Big portions, low calories)

Examples: Quest Chips, pineapple, berries, soups, cucumbers.
For example: Quest Chips saved my late-night cravings during cutting phases.

6. Soup or Salad Before Dinner

You feel full faster.
For example: Clients often tell me, “I didn’t need seconds anymore.”

7. Hide Trigger Foods

If you can see it, you’ll eat it.
Move snacks out of sight or out of the house.

OR DO NOT BUY THEM!

8. Coffee or Matcha Before the Gym

Boosts energy + lowers appetite.

9. Protein + Fruit Snack Combo

Fast, filling, low-calorie.

SECTION 2 — Movement Hacks (10–16)

(Burn calories without doing ‘exercise’)

10. Set a Simple Step Goal

Start with 6K → work toward 10K.
For example: Increasing my steps alone dropped 3–5 lbs with zero diet changes and using a step tracker helped keep me consistent and result driven.

11. 5-Minute Walks After Meals

Helps digestion + reduces blood sugar spikes.

12. Morning Sunlight Walk

Boosts mood, metabolism, circadian rhythm.

13. Micro-Walks During the Day (1–3 minutes)

Adds 1–2K steps without effort.
For example: I do this between Slack messages at work.

14. Walk During Calls

Phone calls = automatic steps.

JUST WALK!

15. Put Your Shoes On Rule

When shoes go on, your brain says, “We’re moving.”

16. 5–10 Minute Cooldown Walk After the Gym

Keeps fat burn going without added stress.

SECTION 3 — Mindset Hacks (17–22)

17. Fix Your Environment (Discipline is a myth if your kitchen is chaos)

People think fat loss is about willpower. It’s not.
It’s about setting up your environment so you don’t have to fight yourself all day.

For example:
When I was 330 lbs, my biggest problem wasn’t food — it was ACCESS.
Snacks were everywhere. Candy bowl on the counter. Chips on the table.
And after a long day? You already know what happens.

As soon as I moved snacks to a top cabinet (or stopped buying huge bags entirely), overeating dropped almost instantly.

Coach tip:
If you open your pantry and the first thing you see is your weakness… that’s not lack of discipline that’s bad setup.

Fat-loss friendly kitchen setup

18. Limit Hyper-Palatable Foods (But don’t go cold turkey)

You don’t need to eliminate everything you love that’s how people binge.
You just need to stop keeping LARGE amounts around.

For example:
I still eat sweets. I still enjoy dessert.
What changed?
I stopped buying the Costco family-size packs during cut phases.

I buy single servings instead something I can eat once and be done with it.

No guilt. No shame. No 2,000-calorie “accidents.”

Moderation-friendly portion size

19. Weekend Structure (Weekends kill more diets than weekdays)

You can have the perfect Monday–Friday routine…
…and still undo everything on Saturday and Sunday.

For example:
Clients always say:
“I’m good during the week, but weekends kill me.”

So I give them ONE weekend anchor rule, and it changes everything:

Pick ONE of these:

  • 10K steps
  • High-protein breakfast
  • No alcohol before 7pm
  • 1 home-cooked meal per day
  • 2 bottles of water before lunch

Just ONE.
Not five. Not perfection. One.

That one anchor stops the “free-for-all weekend” spiral.

20. Daily Non-Negotiable (The habit that builds discipline quietly)

Discipline doesn’t come from doing huge things it comes from small things you do every day, no matter what.

Your non-negotiable should be tiny:

  • 10-minute walk
  • Morning water
  • No phone at meals
  • 1 serving of protein each meal

For example:
During one of my toughest cut phases, my non-negotiable was:
“I walk minimum 10 minutes every day.”

Some days I crushed 45 minutes.
Some days the 10 minutes felt like a war.
But I never broke the streak.
Discipline grows when you keep promises to yourself.

21. Grocery List = Automatic Control

Walking into the store “hungry” and “vibing” is the quickest way to ruin your diet.

Real example:
When I shop without a list, I leave with:

  • snacks
  • random treats
  • things that taste good but sabotage me

When I shop WITH a list, I leave with:

  • protein
  • veggies
  • fruits
  • water
  • things that actually help me cut

Your grocery list is your first line of defense.

If grocery shopping feels overwhelming, don’t stress the MMB 4-Week Starter Kit comes with a grocery list that’s already dialed in. It’s literally the same list I used during my last cut. Save it to your phone and you’ll never walk into the store lost again.

22. Reward Yourself (But with things that support the lifestyle)

Food rewards keep you stuck in the “good day → treat” cycle.
We upgrade the reward system.

Better rewards:

  • New gym shorts
  • Massage gun session
  • Skincare
  • A new hoodie
  • A fitness class with a friend

For example:
After every 2–3 weeks of consistency, I get myself new socks or a new gym tee.
It sounds dumb, but it keeps dopamine on your side, not against you.

SECTION 4 — Supplement Hacks (23–27)

(Not required but they make fat loss smoother)

These are the ones I personally use and give to clients because they solve common roadblocks like low protein, low energy, or cravings.

23. Whey Protein (makes hitting protein goals automatic)

Most people under-eat protein, especially in the mornings and that leads to hunger, cravings, and overeating later in the day.

For example:
When clients start drinking a whey shake with breakfast or after the gym, their late-night snacking drops almost immediately.

24. Creatine Monohydrate (strength = better workouts = more fat loss)

Creatine isn’t a “bulking” supplement it improves strength, performance, and recovery for everyone, even on fat-loss phases.

For example:
I lift heavier and recover faster with creatine, even in a calorie deficit. It helps you hold onto lean muscle while cutting.

Creatine is cheap, safe, and effective — this basic monohydrate is all you need.

25. Greens Powder (covers nutrition gaps quickly)

Veggies fall off easily when life gets busy. A greens powder helps you hit micronutrients and digestion without effort.

For example:
On weeks where I travel or eat out more, a greens scoop a day keeps everything… regular.
If veggies aren’t always happening, try this greens powder easy daily insurance.

26. Electrolytes (cravings + fatigue fix)

Sometimes cravings aren’t cravings you’re just low on hydration and minerals.

For example:
Clients who struggle with “random hunger” often just need electrolytes, especially morning workouts or hot climates
These simple electrolytes keep my energy steady during cut phases worth having at home or work.

27. Light Thermogenic (optional)

Think of thermogenics like an assist, not a solution. They can help with appetite control and energy, but only if your basics are already dialed in.

For example:
On low-calorie days or heavy work weeks, a clean thermogenic gives me a mild boost without the crash.
If you want something gentle for extra support, this is the thermogenic I’ve used personally.

*Yohimbine HCl (Advanced Users Only)
  • Single ingredient, but very strong.
  • boosts fat mobilization in stubborn areas when fasted.
  • 2.5 mg once or twice daily.
  • Not for beginners raises heart rate and anxiety in some people.

SECTION 5 Personal Fat-Loss Hacks I Swear By

These are the habits that actually moved the needle in my own transformation real-life, simple, sustainable.

Paxton Walks (built-in cardio that doesn’t feel like cardio)

Having a dog means I’m outside multiple times a day, no excuses.
Those 2–3 walks add 2k–6k steps without ever thinking about it.

Eating Without My Phone (mindless eating = overeating)

When you eat distracted, your brain never registers fullness.
No phone → you taste your food → you stop sooner.

For example:
The first time I put my phone away during dinner, my portion dropped naturally — no willpower needed.

Protein-First Rule (keeps hunger in check all day)

If a meal doesn’t have 30g+ of protein, it’s not a “meal” it’s a snack.
This one rule stabilizes appetite and keeps calories controlled.

Sunday Meal Prep (the cheat code for weekly consistency)

Sunday is reset day.
Whether I prep full meals or just protein + carbs, it saves me during the chaotic weekdays.

Walking Treadmill Pad at My Desk (effortless NEAT)

I walk while working, watching YouTube, or planning content.
That’s an easy 4–7k steps daily without putting on shoes.

Final Thought

Fat loss doesn’t require perfection just stacked small wins.
Pick five hacks from this list and run them for the next week.
Your hunger drops. Your energy rises. The scale finally listens.
